University of Michigan Health System Expansion Includes Spine Services

The University of Michigan Health System announced it will bulk up its hospital capacity and create hospital for diseases of the nervous system, which will include spinal treatment.

University of Michigan orthopedic and neurosurgeons will offer spine surgery services in the new neuroscience hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich. The neuroscience part of the project includes a 163,000 square foot renovation of clinical space, and 104,000 square foot space for support services and offices.
