The Texas Back Institute surgeons have performed more than 1,200 ADR procedures with more than 10 types of artificial disc devices since 2000. Scott Blumenthal, MD, Richard Guyer, MD, and Jack Zigler, MD, will be co-directors of the Center for Disc Replacement.

During ADR surgery, the damaged disc is removed and replaced with an artificial disc designed to replicate normal motion. The hospital stay for patients is one or two days. The new facility includes concierge services to help patients schedule appointments, understand details related to surgery, coordinate with the patients’ local physicians and assist with travel and transportation services.
