The Texas Back Institute is the new spine specialist for the Dallas-area professional soccer club, which began season play a few weeks ago. Chief Development Officer for the Texas Back Institute Cheryl Zapata says this is an opportunity to bring “cutting edge procedures and cutting edge technologies” to another professional sports team in Texas. They are already the designated spine specialists for a Minor League Baseball team in the Lone Star state, the Frisco Rough Riders.
Zapata said working with two sports teams “helps us connect better with our community as a whole because we are involved with things they enjoy on their free time.”
The Texas Back Institute started in Plano, Texas, in 1977 and is a freestanding, multidisciplinary academic spine center with a team of more than two-dozen spine specialists, physiatrists, physician assistants and executives working out of several locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
