Tennis star Andy Murray undergoes spine surgery

Andy Murray is skipping the Wimbledon singles after having back surgery, the BBC reported July 2.

He underwent back surgery to address a spinal cyst, the BBC reported June 24. The tennis player’s team didn’t say who operated on him or where he had the surgery. 

At the time his surgery was first reported, his plans for Wimbledon were unclear. But now he decided he will only participate in the Wimbledon doubles.
