The researchers examined results from eight different studies. Reduction procedures were associated with a significantly greater decrease in slippage percentage and slip angle when compared with arthrodesis in situ. The research also showed pseudarthrosis was significantly more frequent for the in situ group compared with the reduction group, according to the report.
There were no significant differences between the groups for neurologic deficits.
