Multiple spine and orthopedic surgeons have been tapped to serve as chief medical officer at hospitals and medtech companies in the last 90 days.

1. Spine surgeon Frank Cammisa, MD, was named chief medical officer of Orthobond, a company that develops antimicrobial nanosurfaces.

2. Edward Vresilovic Jr., MD, PhD, was hired as chief medical officer at Camber Spine, a medical technology company.

3. Vijay Yanamadala, MD, was named chief medical officer of Sword Health, a virtual musculoskeletal care platform.

4. Alexander Ghanayem, MD, was named chief medical officer of Maywood, Ill.-based Loyola Medical Group.

5. Orthopedic trauma surgeon Philip Stahel, MD, will be chief medical officer of Asheville, N.C.-based Mission Health.
