Researchers studied two patients with spinal intradural tumors, both of whom underwent minimally invasive tumor resections using the U-clip in conjunction with Tisseal. Both patients were mobilized postoperatively and neither developed symptoms of cerebrospinal fluid leakage.

The researchers concluded that using the U-clip device could eliminate the difficulties associated with suture management and knot tying during minimally invasive spine procedures.
