Stemedica Names Dr. Joseph Maroon Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board

Stemedica Cell Technologies, an adult allogeneic stem cell manufacturing and research company, has appointed Joseph Maroon, MD, as chairman of the company’s Medical and Scientific Advisory Board.

Dr. Maroon is a neurosurgeon and the vice chairman and professor of the department of neurological surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is the author of more than 250 peer-reviewed papers and 55 books or book chapters.

Dr. Maroon is known for his research on brain tumors, concussions and diseases of the spine, which has led to techniques for diagnosing and treating disorders.
