Medtech company SpineGuard received an intention to grant a patent on its universal adapter for orthopedic drills and robots from the U.S. Patent Office.
The patent protects the company’s adapter, which is used for securing bone drilling power tools, according to a Nov. 24 news release from SpineGuard.
The adapter is part of SpineGuard’s Dynamic Surgical Guidance technology to secure the placement of bone implants.
SpineGuard has a portfolio of 11 patent families and three trademarks, the release said.
