After a stint as an algebra teacher, Dr. Dudley earned his medical degree from Baltimore-based University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed a surgical internship and orthopedic residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. At the medical center, Dr. Dudley served in the orthopedic department and was the director of General 1 Spine Services.
He later underwent a hand surgery rotation at Baltimore-based Union Memorial Hospital and total joint replacement rotation at Boston-based New England Baptist Hospital. Dr. Dudley also completed a spinal cord surgery fellowship at Cleveland-based Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Dudley was a spine consultant for the Baltimore Orioles and Johns Hopkins University. He served as a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society and Southern Orthopaedic Association as well as a diplomate of American Board of Orthopaedics.
Dr. Dudley most recently served in private practice in Timonium, Md., until his retirement in 2007.
