Spine practice owner donates 40K+ masks to first responders

Sarim Mir, MD, owner of Mir Neurology & Spine Center in Hagerstown, Md., has donated more than 40,000 masks to first responders, with 25,000 more on the way, Herald-Mail Media reported Jan. 6.

The neurologist has acquired and distributed the masks to medical facilities, police agencies and ambulance crews.

Information accompanies the masks so individuals can continue to order them.

Dr. Mir, board-certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology, has been practicing in Maryland since 1996, according to his website.

His practice specializes in clinical trials of various neurologic conditions including multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.
