PainTEQ named Mike Sherman, a spine and orthopedic medtech leader, to its board of directors, according to a Sept. 24 news release.
Mr. Sherman has more than 30 years of experience at companies including Medtronic, Johnson & Johnson, Smith and Nephew and MB Innovations. With Medtronic he created and led a technology and development group for advancing spine business development.
He has more than 130 U.S. patents in spine, surgical instruments and minimally invasive techniques.
PainTEQ was founded in 2013. Its proprietary sacroiliac joint implant has been used in more than 14,000 procedures.
