Scrub Capital is investing in Spark Spine, a medtech company focused on regenerative healing in spine and orthopedic trauma patients.

The investment will support Spark Spine’s core platform — piezoelectric implants designed to promote tissue regeneration, according to an Oct. 3 news release. The implants convert mechanical loading into bioelectric signals.

Spark Spine will now be able to accelerate product development, grow its IP portfolio and seek FDA clearance.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
