1. Dr. Smithason will join Virgilio Matheus, MD, at Southeastern Spine and Pain.

 

2. After earning his medical degree from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand, Dr. Smithason completed neurological surgery residencies at Prasart Neurological Institute in Thailand and at Cleveland Clinic.

 

3. Dr. Smithason also completed a research fellowship, clinical fellowship and epilepsy surgery fellowship at Cleveland Clinic.

 

4. Dr. Smithason performs brain tumor surgery, minimally invasive spine surgery, hydrocephalus surgery as well as treats brain bleeds or strokes.
