Dr. Burton is an SRS Lifetime Achievement Award winner and made numerous controbutions to spinal deformity care, according to a Jan. 23 news release. He has been a member of the SRS since 2004.
The first paper to win the Douglas Burton award was “Proximal junctional failure after surgical instrumentation in adult spinal deformity: biomechanical assessment of proximal instrumentation stiffness.”
