Chicago-based Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush has added Ameen Barghi, MD, to its spine surgery team, effective Oct. 19.
Dr. Barghi specializes in minimally invasive and robotic navigated spine surgery, according to a Sept. 28 news release from the health system. He will see patients at the group’s Chicago, Joliet, Naperville, Oak Brook and Westchester, Ill., clinics.
He treats sciatica, lower back pain, neck pain, pinched nerves, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, spondylolisthesis and adult scoliosis.
Before joining Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, Dr. Barghi performed more than 500 spine surgeries in a single year at Philadelphia-based Rothman Orthopaedic Institute. His research includes more than 135 publications, book chapters and scientific presentations.
