ReWalk is a robotic exoskeleton that attaches to patients’ legs and arms and includes a three-hour battery pack to assist in walking. The device is currently being tested in a clinical trial. There are only about 16 ReWalks available worldwide.
The device weights about 40 pounds and is designed to allow patients to move fast enough to cross the street before traffic lights change, according to the report.
