PeaceHealth names Dr. Andrea Halliday CMO, chief clinical officer: 4 key notes

Neurosurgeon Andrea Halliday, MD, added chief medical officer to her role at PeaceHealth, according to a report from The Register-Guard.

Four things to know:

1. Dr. Halliday is the health system’s chief clinical officer and now will serve in the dual role of chief clinical and chief medical officer of the system.

2. She is responsible for overseeing safety, quality and provider engagement at the system.

3. Dr. Halliday joined PeaceHealth in 2010 and has experience as the patient safety officer for one of the system’s hospitals.

4. Dr. Halliday completed her neurosurgery training at Boston-based Massachusetts General Hospital as well as a complex spine surgery fellowship with Edward Benzel, MD, of Cleveland Clinic. She has a special interest in minimally invasive spine surgery.
