Research grants can be key to helping surgeons and scientists uncover new developments and innovations in patient care. Here's how 11 spine surgeons told Becker's they would use a $5 million grant.

Ibrahim Hussain, MD, a neurosurgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medicine, has performed the first 3D navigation-guided endoscopic lumbar fusion in New York City. 

University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock established a "green spine lab" with 3D-printed cadavers, the university said Feb. 1.
