OSF Heart of Mary to open spine center

OSF HealthCare Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana, Ill. is opening a pain and spine center, the health system said Nov. 30.

The center is in the hospital’s renovated space and will be available to patients starting Dec. 20, according to a news release. 

Services will include spinal injections and radio frequency ablation. Zeeshan Ahmad, MD, a spine and pain management physician will return to the region to see patients. Neurosurgeons from OSF HealthCare Illinois Neurological Institute will also work out of the location.
