Mr. Lee, who is from the U.K., had a lumbar discectomy, the post said. The procedure addressed chronic pain from a bulging disc. He didn’t say where he had the surgery or who operated on him.

Mr. Lee won the gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics for the Men’s Synchronized 10m Platform event alongside Tom Daley.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
