Northwell opens $6.3M spine institute

Northwell Health opened the Northwell Spine Institute at Lenox Hill in New York City, according to an April 9 news release.

The $6.3 million facility is 11,500 square feet and brings togetherorthopedics, sports medicine, neurosurgery, and physical medicine and rehabilitation within one location.

Northwell Spine Institute at Lenox Hill has full-service spinal imaging and and onsite x-ray unit.

“This destination center brings together our system-level expertise in orthopedics, sports medicine, neurosurgery, and physical medicine and rehabilitation, enabling more coordinated care and streamlined access to comprehensive spine treatment for patients across New York and beyond,” Frank Schwab, MD, system chief of orthopedic spine surgery, chair of orthopedic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital and co-executive director of the Northwell Spine Institute, said in the release.
