New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health’s Huntington (N.Y.) Hospital has appointed Yike Jin, MD, chief of neurosurgery. Dr. Jin assumed the role in July.
Dr. Jin joined the hospital from Bay Shore, N.Y.-based South Shore University Hospital, where he served as director of complex spine surgery from 2022 to 2026 and as an assistant professor in the department of neurosurgery at Uniondale, N.Y.-based Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, according to an Aug. 4 news release.
A neurosurgeon specializing in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery, Dr. Jin will lead Huntington Hospital’s neurosurgery program while continuing to serve as an assistant professor at the Zucker School of Medicine.
At South Shore University Hospital, Dr. Jin helped expand complex spine services, introduced intraoperative CT and spinal navigation, and supported outreach efforts that increased surgical volume, the release said.
