The facility, which has three operating rooms and two procedure rooms, has been renovated to allow for treating spine, ophthalmic and podiatric patients. Jim Roskelly, executive vice president of strategic development for Moses Cone, said the surgery center will be a more convenient location for patients to receive the outpatient surgeries and open up hospital ORs for higher-level cases.

The surgery center is part of Surgical Care Affiliates, a national network of surgery facilities.
