Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Mass., welcomed Louis Jenis, MD, as new chief medical and innovation officer, the Worcester Business Journal reports.

1. This newly created role is designed for Dr. Jenis to work across the hospital and the larger Partners HealthCare System to identify new ways to deliver healthcare to patients.

 

2. Dr. Jenis has been practicing orthopedic surgery for 20 years, specializing in spine surgery.

 

3. After earning his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Jenis completed his internship, residency and fellowship at University of Massachusetts Memorial Health Care in Worcester.
