Old Bridge, N.J.-based Hassan Spine & Sports Medicine has rebranded as NefraHealth, reflecting its growth into a multi-location spine and sports medicine practice.
NefraHealth also added Abhishek Kumar, MD, an orthopedic spine surgeon, to expand its spine care offerings. Dr. Kumar previously served as chief of spine surgery at Bayonne (N.J.) Medical Center and held academic roles at Baton Rouge-based Louisiana State University. His clinical focus includes minimally invasive spine surgery and spinal deformity correction, according to a Feb. 10 news release.
The practice offers nonsurgical and surgical treatments for spine and musculoskeletal conditions across its locations.
