New Jersey orthopedic practice adds spine surgeon

Paramus-based Modern Orthopaedics of New Jersey has added Joseph Pyun, MD, to its staff.

Dr. Pyun is an orthopedic spine surgeon specializing in minimally invasive techniques, according to a news release from Modern Orthopaedics of New Jersey. 

He provides care for spinal conditions and disorders including spinal stenosis, disc herniations, pinched nerves, spondylolisthesis and spinal cord compression.

Dr. Pyun completed an orthopedic residency at New York Medical College – Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y., and a spine surgery fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.

In addition, Dr. Pyun is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society, the release said.
