Dr. Onesti previously served as chairman of the department of neurosurgery at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn, where he remains a professor of neurosurgery. He is also the immediate past president of the New York State Neurosurgical Society and was a member the American Association of Neurological Surgeons’ board of directors.
Dr. Onesti earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston and completed his neurosurgery residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center/Neurological Institute of New York.
