The hospital launched the spine program in January and recently invested in tools and a microscope for cervical cases.
Dr. Syre, in collaboration with interventional pain physician Richard Wolkowitz, MD, hosts a spine clinic on the fourth Friday of each month and surgical cases on the fourth Thursday of each month.
The spine clinic and surgery center are both booked until August, according to the report. The center offers outpatient procedures and minimally invasive spine procedures.
“The goal of this whole program is to get all these surgical cases that were typically performed down in the Springs or Vail and I think we’ve had pretty good luck with that,” Dr. Syre said.
At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
