1. Dr. Price found neurologin-2, synaptic adhesion molecules, contributes to chronic pain.
2. He studied certain biochemical reactions that reduce neurological activity.
3. Neurologin-2 contributes to GABAergic plasticity, which is process in which neurotransmitter GABA loses its inhibitory activity. This process can intensify chronic pain.
4. Dr. Price said his findings further explain why the GABAergic system doesn’t work well in certain people.
