1. NASS made the update after several randomized controlled trials comparing the procedure to anterior cervical discectomy and fusion.
2. Christopher Lavigne, president and CEO of LDR, said the NASS recommendation supports CADR as an alternative to ACDF in certain patients.
3. The recommendation will help expand coverage for the company’s Mobi-C Cervical Disc.
4. The Mobi-C Cervical Disc, a cobalt chromium alloy and polyethylene prosthesis, is used as a bone-sparing, cervical intervertebral disc replacement for one- and two-level procedures.
