NASS names MedRisk scientific advisory board member Dr. Chris Main honorary member — 6 highlights

The North American Spine Society named Chris Main, PhD, an honorary member. Dr. Main serves as a MedRisk International Scientific Advisory Board member.

1. Dr. Main is a clinical and health psychologist.

 

2. His work focuses on the biopsychosocial approach to pain management, especially in the workplace.

 

3. Specifically, his research touches on the psychological factors prevalent in back pain.

 

4. He helped bring the first pain management program for low back pain to fruition in the United Kingdom.  

 

5. Dr. Main has helped write more than 200 books, monographs, reports and articles.

 

6. Dr. Main has contributed to MedRisk’s International Scientific Advisory Board since 2009. MedRisk determines best-practice treatments in physical medicine, diagnostic imaging and neuro-diagnostics.
