MSU Health Care Sports Medicine adds spine surgeon

Spine surgeon Mohamed Salar, MD, joined MSU Health Care Sports Medicine, according to a Sept. 6 news release.

He joined East Lansing, Mich.-based MSU Health Care on Aug. 21, and he specializes in adolescent scoliosis, degenerative spine disorders, orthopedic trauma, revision surgery and other areas of spine care. Along with his practice, he is an assistant orthopedics professor at Michigan State University Colleges of Human & Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Salar earned his medical degree at Wayne State University in Detroit and completed his residency at the University of Florida in Jacksonville. He also has fellowship training from Texas Back Institute in Plano.
