Meet the spine surgeon who also plays the blues

Orthopedic spine surgeon Daniel Ivanovich, MD, was recently featured in USA Today for his orthopedic care as well as talents outside of surgery: playing the Blues.

Dr. Ivanovich is co-founder, vocalist and guitarist for the Chicago Blues All-Stars. He also focuses on helping former Blues musicians navigate the health system and provides free care through his non-profit organization One Patient Global Health Initiative.

 

Dr. Ivanovich has lived in Chicago since he was a child and earned his medical degree at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine.
