Medical mission organization names Texas Back Institute’s Dr. Theodore Belanger as Physician of the Year

Plano-based Texas Back Institute orthopedic spine surgeon Theodore Belanger, MD, was recognized as MedicalMissions.org’s 2018 Physician of the Year.

Three notes:

1. MedicalMissions.org is a nonprofit that connects medical volunteers with organizations that sponsor global medical missions.

2. Dr. Belanger specializes in neck and back disorders, including degenerative conditions, disc disorders and adult and pediatric spinal deformity.

3. Dr. Belanger first began participating in medical missions in 2010. He is the co-founder of the Conscience International Ethiopia Project, which provides medical care to patients in Ethiopia with spinal deformities.
