Medical illustrator joins UNC neurosurgery team

Chapel Hill-based University of North Carolina Health will onboard a medical illustrator in January.

Mark Schornak is joining UNC Health from Phoenix-based Barrow Neurological Institute, according to a Dec. 21 news release. He will work with UNC neurosurgery faculty to design visuals for social media, journals, research and other publications.

Mr. Schornak earned a bachelor’s degree in zoology from UNC. He then attended the Cleveland Institute of Art and the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, where he completed his master’s in medical illustration.
