Mayfield Brain & Spine adds Dr. Lauren Ostling

Lauren Ostling, MD, a specialist in minimally invasive spine surgery and image-guided neurosurgery, has joined Norwood, Ohio-based Mayfield Brain & Spine, the Cincinnati Business Courier reported July 6.

Four notes:

1. Dr. Ostling treats patients with spinal disorders, brain tumors, spinal tumors, hydrocephalus and Chiari malformations, as well as adolescent patients transitioning to adult care.

2. She performs surgery at Mercy West Hospital in Cincinnati and Mayfield Spine Surgery Center in Norwood.

3. Mayfield Brain & Spine comprises 24 physicians and more than 210 employees that serve patients across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, according to its website.

4. Mark Vorherr will become CEO of the practice on July 19, succeeding Mark Farrington who joined Morristown, N.J.-based Altair Health in January.
