Maimonides Medical Center appoints Dr. Afshin Razi vice chair of orthopedics — 3 notes

Afshin Razi, MD, was appointed vice chair and residency program director of New York City-based Maimonides Medical Center’s orthopedics department, the Jewish Voice reports.

Here are three things to know:

1. Dr. Razi is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon who previously served as associate director of Maimonides’ orthopedic residency program.

2. He will continue to treat patients at the Maimonides Spine Center in New York City, along with John Houten, MD, and Ahmed Saleh, MD.

3. The 4,400-square-foot Maimonides Spine Center offers neurodiagnostics, CT and MRI, fluoroscopy, electromyography and nerve conduction studies.
