Life Spine voluntarily dismisses lawsuit against former CEO

Medtech company Life Spine voluntarily dismissed a lawsuit against founder and former CEO Michael Butler after a court ruling that dismissed the majority of the company’s claims, according to a Nov. 21 news release.

The July 2025 lawsuit alleged alleging breaches of fiduciary duty, trade secret misappropriation and tortious interference. At the time Mr. Butler denied the allegations in a statement to Becker’s.

Mr. Butler filed a motion to dismiss Life Spine’s lawsuit, and the court’s dismissal order came Oct. 20, the news release said. Days later, Life Spine filed its motion for voluntary dismissal of its claims, and that was granted on Nov. 3.
