Lehigh Valley Health Network to Acquire Westfield Hospital, Convert it to Orthopedic Center

Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Health Network has acquired the assets of Westfield Hospital in Allentown and intends on converting the facility into an orthopedic center with a focus on total joint replacements and spine surgery, according to a Lehigh Valley Business report.

The facility will operate as Westfield Hospital trough December, after which there are plans to open the Center for Orthopedic Medicine. The hospital operates three operating rooms and an emergency department in its main building, according to the report.
