Kevin Foley, MD. Semmes Murphey Clinic (Memphis, Tenn.). Dr. Foley is a neurosurgery professor and has contributed to the development of Accelus' Remi robot. He was appointed as the devicemaker's first chief robotics officer.
Colin Haines, MD. Virginia Spine Institute (Reston). Dr. Haines is director of research at Virginia Spine Institute. He performed the world's first combined endoscopic and robot-guided spine surgery.
Kevin McGuire, MD. Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health (Lebanon, N.H.). Dr. McGuire is director of Dartmouth Health's Center for Pain and Spine. He debuted Medacta's MUST pedicle screw system with the NextAR system.
Steven Meyer, MD. MercyOne (Sioux City, Iowa). Dr. Meyer founded Siouxland Tanzania Educational and Medical Ministries, a nonprofit focused on volunteer medical care. He was recognized by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Iowa Volunteer Hall of Fame for his work.
Tien Le, MD. Total Spine & Brain Institute (Brandon, Fla.). Dr. Le is a minimally invasive spine specialist and has been certified to use robot-assisted technology since 2013. He completed the first case integrating Accelus' Remi robotic navigation system, Linesider pedicle screw system and FlareHawk expandable interbody fusion device.
Joshua Prickett, DO. Aiken (S.C.) Regional Medical Centers. Dr. Prickett's specialties include spinal decompressions, spinal fusion and skull base surgery. He completed his residency at Virginia Tech Carilion in Roanoke and did fellowship training at Swedish Neuroscience in Seattle.
Michael Rosner, MD. The George Washington University Hospital (Washington, D.C.). Dr. Rosner is program director for George Washington University Hospital's neurosurgical residency. He was deployed in 2003 to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany and in 2005 to the 86th Combat Support Hospital in Baghdad.
Uzma Samadani, MD, PhD. Minneapolis VA Health Care System. Dr. Samadani has received more than $6 million in research grants and has published 70 peer-reviewed papers and 30 reviews and chapters. She is the first surgeon in Minnesota and among the first in the country to perform fully percutaneous, single-position, navigated anterior/posterior spinal fusion.
Grant Shifflett, MD. DISC Sports and Spine Center (Newport Beach, Calif.). Dr. Shifflett specializes in minimally invasive and microsurgical techniques. During his residency with New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery, he traveled to Japan to study complex and reconstructive surgery.
Marjorie Wang, MD. Medical College of Wisconsin (Menomonee). Dr. Wang is director of the spine fellowship program and treats conditions including herniated discs and degenerative diseases. She is one of 50 spine experts on the National Spine Health Foundation's medical and scientific board.
