6 spine surgeons on the move in February

Here are six spine and neurosurgeons who joined new practices or gained new titles in February:

1. Dignity Health Glendale (Calif.) Memorial Hospital and Health Center appointed David Rogers, MD, chief of staff.

2. Justin Slavin, MD, became the second spinal neurosurgeon to join Milford (Mass.) Regional Medical Center in the past four months.

3. John Peloza, MD, returned to Vail, Colo.-based The Steadman Clinic after spending several decades developing his own practice in Dallas.

4. Xcelerate, an information technology and services company, added neurosurgeon Dilantha Ellegala, MD, founder of SonoSpine, to its newly formed board of directors.

5. Ali Mesiwala, MD, a neurosurgeon specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery, joined Newport Beach, Calif.-based Disc Sports & Spine Center.

6. Wayne State University in Detroit named Sonia Eden, MD, interim chair of its neurosurgery department.
