From a surgeon featured in a new documentary to a surgeon recognized for his advocacy in the field, here are four spine surgeons who made headlines this week.

1. Antonio Webb, MD, spine surgeon, author and Iraq War veteran, embarked on a 20-city virtual tour Feb. 3 to promote the documentary film adaptation of his book, Overcoming the Odds, Shreveport, La.

2. The first Minimally Invasive Flex Tower, designed by CTL Amedica, was implanted in a patient in a lumbar spine surgery performed by Dalip Pelinkovic, MD, in Iowa.

3. The National Association of Spine Specialists, the advocacy arm of the North American Spine Society, paid tribute to Brian Gantwerker, MD, for his work elevating the voices of spine providers and challenging legislative hurdles within the field.

4. Neel Anand, MD, performed the first spine surgery with TheraCell's new TheraCell DB Fiber Wrap.
