Florida Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale named neurosurgeon Guillermo Pasarin, MD, "Physician of the Quarter 2," Miami's Community Newspapers reports.
Four things to know:
1. Dr. Pasarin specializes in cervical artificial disc replacement, cervical and lumbar spine surgery and stereotactic radiosurgery.
2. Recipients are nominated for the award in a process involving hospital employees and physicians.
3. Dr. Pasarin has practiced medicine since 1986 and previously served in the U.S. Army Reserves as a medical corps officer.
4. He practices with Sunrise (Fla.) Medical Group, part of Tenet Florida Physician Services.
