North Shore University Hospital boosts spine team with Dr. Athos Patsalides

Interventional neuroradiologist Athos Patsalides, MD, has joined the spine team at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, N.Y.

Dr. Patsalides, appointed chief of neurointerventional surgery in September, is renowned for his clinical expertise in the treatment of complex diseases of the spine and brain.

Most recently, he served as an associate attending in the department of neurological surgery and associate professor of radiology and neurological surgery at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City.

Dr. Patsalides completed a fellowship in diagnostic neuroradiology at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and another in interventional neuroradiology at WCMC.

He also holds a master's of public health degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
