Congress of Neurological Surgeons appoints Dr. Brian Hoh president

Brian Hoh, MD, has been named president of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, a professional society with more than 9,800 members, according to The Gainesville Sun.

Four things to know:

1. Dr. Hoh serves as the neurosurgery chair at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

2. He is past-chair of the Joint American Association of Neurological Surgeons/Congress of Neurosurgical Surgeons Cerebrovascular Section.

3. Dr. Hoh previously served on the editorial boards of the Journal of Neurosurgery and Journal World Neurosurgery.

4. Two other UF Health neurosurgeons were elected to leadership positions. Daniel Hoh, MD, will act as treasurer and Maryam Rahman, MD, serves as a member-at-large of the executive committee.
