Here are six spine and neurosurgeons making headlines this week:

E. Sander Connolly Jr., MD, was appointed chair of the department of neurological surgery at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City.

New York Spine Institute in Westbury added Nicholas Post, MD, to its practice.

Myron Rolle, MD, a neurosurgery resident at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and former Pittsburgh Steelers safety, called for the NFL to cancel or postpone the season due to COVID-19 concerns.

John Burleson, MD, will join Hughston Clinic in Nashville, Tenn., in October after completing a spine fellowship at Texas Back Institute in Plano.

Barry Pollard, MD, was inducted into the Oklahoma Agriculture Hall of Fame.

Blue Ridge Orthopaedic & Spine Center has recruited Louis Magdon, MD.
