Washoe Valley, Nevada-based Renown Health recognized Jay Morgan, MD, with the 2019 Arthur J. Lurie, MD, Distinguished Physician Award for outstanding healthcare contributions to the Northern Nevada community on Oct. 19, reports Northern Nevada Business Review.
Dr. Morgan is an assistant professor at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno and serves on the board as president-elect for the Washoe County Medical Society.
He specializes in artificial lumbar disc replacement and treating complex spine disorders and cerebral vascular disease.
Dr. Morgan joined Sierra Neurosurgery Group in Reno, Nevada, in 1993 and served as chairman of neurosurgery at Renown Health from 1995 to 2004 and 2008 to 2016.
