Drs. Samuel Adams, Nitin Khanna & more: 4 spine, neurosurgeons making headlines

Here are four spine and neurosurgeons making the news this week.

Orthopedic spine surgeon Samuel Adams, MD, is joining Wasilla, Alaska-based Pioneer Peak Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Adams will see patients at Pioneer Peak's clinic and perform surgeries at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer, Alaska.

Spine surgeon Nitin Khanna, MD, and Mishawaka, Ind.-based Franciscan Health are participating in a national study on the long-term prognosis for patients who undergo micro decompression surgery to treat lumbar spinal stenosis. Dr. Khanna was selected as a co-investigator in the multicenter study and will analyze patients' outcomes over the next five years.

In Becker's Spine Review's Ask Spine Surgeons series, Brian R. Gantwerker, MD, and Isaada Thongtrangan, MD, discussed bundled payments and value-based care in spine.
