Fifteen spine and neurosurgeons joined new practices or hospital departments last month.

Eric Emanski, MD, joined Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Spine Surgery Associates.

CHI St. Luke's Health – The Woodlands Hospital in Montgomery County, Texas, welcomed neurosurgeon Jeremiah Johnson, MD.

Mark Pichelmann, MD, joined Mayo Clinic Health System and will treat patients at its location in Eau Claire, Wis.

Meridian, Miss.-based Rush Health Systems welcomed orthopedic spine surgeon Edward Smith, MD.

Scott Urch, MD, joined the medical team at HSHS Medical Group in Springfield, Ill.

Orthopedic spine surgeon Aaron Beck, MD, joined Plymouth (Mass.) Bay Orthopedic Associates.

Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, S.D., terminated the contract of neurosurgeon Wilson Asfora, MD.

Saqib Hasan, MD, joined Webster Orthopedics in Oakland, Calif.

WVU Medicine Brain and Spine in Martinsburg, W.Va., welcomed Mark Lyerly, MD.

Thomas Niemeier, MD, an orthopedic spine surgeon, joined Optim Orthopedics in Savannah, Ga.

Neurosurgeons David Slottje, MD, and Osmond Wu, MD, joined Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Albemarle County, Va.

Spine surgeon Brandon Cook, MD, joined Orthopaedic Associates in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.

Shane McGowan, MD, joined Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group in Newport News, Va.

Spine surgeon Mats Agren, MD, joined Lewiston, Maine-based St. Mary's Health System.
